Clegg impact soil tester - Model CIST/882
The Clegg Impact Soil Tester model CIST/882 for measuring and controlling soil strength and consolidation levels.
A known mass, the Clegg Hammer, is dropped from a fixed distance and deceleration is measured as the hammer hits the ground. Four successive trials determine the Clegg Impact Value (4.5kg hammer, 2.25kg and 0.5kg display "gravities").
Constructed with a hardened steel hammer inside a durable tube, the Clegg will give you years of reliable, accurate service.
