Status Mentor PGD3-IR infra-red multi gas detector

The Status Scientific Controls Mentor PGD3-IR portable gas detector is an intrinsically safe portable multi gas instrument for use in Group IIC potentially explosive atmospheres. The instrument is intended to be used for the protection of personnel entering or working in an environment where a gas hazard may exist.

The Status PGD3-IR can be fitted with up to 4 gas sensors in various combinations of flammable (via infrared), toxic (including carbon dioxide via infrared) and oxygen to provide simultaneous monitoring of each gas. The PGD3-IR produces both an audible and visual alarm if any of the monitored gas levels fall outside pre-set limits.

The data logging facilities available within the instrument allow the exposure levels for each gas to be stored for downloading to a personal computer at the end of the work period via the optional battery charger & interface kit.

The PGD3-IR automatically calculates the STEL and LTEL values for each gas as required by COSHH regulations in the United Kingdom.
