Tempo 500J/600J pair tracing system
The 500J tone tracer and the 600J tone generator are part of the Tempo Nautilus range of high specification test equipment featuring a "shell" designed to breathe and safe-guard the functional elements from water, dust, impact and temperature change.
Tone Probe 500J
The 500J tone probe is a rugged audio amplifier used to detect alternating electrostatic fields set up by an applied tone generator (the 600J) on twisted pair wiring, single conductors, co-axial cables or de-energised AC wiring.
Tone Generator 600J
The 600J tone generator provides transformer coupled (Electromagnetic) or capacitor coupled (Electrostatic) connection to the wire pair or cable under test. Either configuration can be used to locate a wire pair or cable. The choice of output connection is of particular benefit when the pair is identified and testing back to the tone generator is required.
